Pink plush ‘Hello Kitty’ blanket. Still like new, barely used. Thought about burning it or trashing it, but it’s still a cute blanket, it’s just from an awful person. It was my birthday present on my sweet sixteen from my ex.
I was young and sixteen, my now ex, was a college student, athletic, dreamy, charming, sexy, and popular compared to awkward, geeky, wallflower me. He insisted his reputation was all based on blown up rumors and he had this bad boy streak– drove a mustang, rule (and law) breaker. Cute, naive little me found it hot and sexy to be with the “cool” older guy every girl in my high school had a crush on. Until seeing him every day, turned into every week, to every other week, to once a month. This is when all his lies started falling apart: yes, he did have a love child. He was responsible for breaking up a long term friendship because he left his then girlfriend for her best friend. To top it off, he sprung on me that he was leaving for the marines. Fast forward, now he’s a huge fuckboi and a manwhore, likes to screw anything with a pulse, and don’t let my stupidity fool you, he can literally sweet talk his way into any girls’ pants because of his looks and charm.
