Ruby is the birthstone for the month of July and is known not only for it’s beauty but also for it’s durability as it has hardness just below that of diamond. Rubies can come in a wide variety of red hues, this ruby is a deep vibrant red and is beautifully facetted. It is approximately 2 carats in weight and 8mm round. In terms of quality, its internally flawless and set in 1/10 sterling silver filled wire. This ruby is not a “synthetic” or “simulant” but a lab created stone. This means that it is physically identical to an earth mined stone and is exactly the same mineral composition and brilliance as it’s natural counterpart but is a fraction of the cost. I can also do this same design in blue or white sapphire and a wide variety of other gemstones!
The guy that gave it to me broke up with me a month before our engagement party because his family didnt think i was good enough for him.
