A soft, breezy floral maxi dress by Exhilaration (I think I bought it at Target). Size small. Above the knee side slits and a pretty cage pattern at the back.
You know when you are first trying to identify yourself after an awful, heartbreaking break-up (divorce) and there’s that blackout period where everything you accrue in that time only ever really reminds you of the bad time as you move forward? That’s me and this dress. It has never been worn, although the tags are not attached. It’s pretty and soft and easy. It just came to me at a bad time and I don’t want it around me anymore.
I’m putting this toward soft summer slippers if it goes. Light. Simple. Grateful for forward change.
