Gorgeous wedding dress from a boutique on West Coast. The ivory color with beaded French lace overlay, buttons down the back, and gold silk belt with broach give it an antique feel. Removable chapel train. Veil included. This dress was worn once, professionally cleaned, and then preserved in an oxygen-tight museum style storage box. It is still in the box. When I wore it, I was a size 2, around 123 lbs, 5’4. It was long on me with high heels. Ideally, I would have had it hemmed a few more inches.
After I was married, I had this dress put in a preservation box with the hopes that maybe one day my daughter, granddaughter, or great-granddaughter would want to wear it. That it would be some glorious symbol of the love between myself and their father/grandfather/great-grandfather. A love that they would only hope to aspire to. Sounded pretty romantic … But then he cheated on me. With multiple women. So much for that idea.
