I was with my ex for three years from junior year in high school to freshman year in college. We broke up two years ago on a good note, but I was going through a tough situation involving my dad’s terminal illness. I wanted to be by myself; however, I also realized that this relationship wasn’t going to work because our personality clashed. It was a sweet gesture by giving me this necklace. It was given to me way before I found out about my dad’s illness. In addition, I am not really a necklace person. One more thing, I never wore the necklace.
