Not sure if the messy truth is what they really want from me but you all are going to get it. Recently divorced, it was bitter but somewhat amicable ending. UNTIL I filed taxes for the first time post divorce and found out he never paid taxes on his general contracting business the entire time we were married and my name was attached to the $30,000 of back taxes owed because we filed jointly. He handled taxes because of all the business owner paperwork and never said a word to me during the marriage nor during the divorce. Now he sits back not paying any of it because he pays himself and doesn’t have a paycheck for the government to garnish from while the government garnishes a massive percentage from every single one of my paychecks to pay this debt. Oh well though. At least he says sorry that he can’t afford to take care of it or pay me back at all. That’s nice.
You bet my money made from this sale will help fund a small portion of the lawyer fees I’m willing to rack up to hold him accountable for everything and then some.
