.27 carat diamond solitaire, set in 14k white gold, 6 prong head and 12 diamond accent stones (6 on each side) with shadow wedding band, both are size 6 1/2
The ring was custom made. I still have receipts for the solitaire and the custom made setting and shadow band.
I got divorced 3 years ago from a man who never knew how to love me. We were together for 7 years since I was 25 years old.
We bought a home together in Sept 07. Almost the peak of the market. We did thousands and thousands of dollars worth of repairs and renovation ourselves on it. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears. It hadn’t been updated since it was built in 1979!
Needless to say, when I decided to leave my husband, the market fell drastically, and we were underwater on it. So because I didn’t make near as much money as he did, I just gave the house to him. Even if I were able to afford the mortgage on my own, he had invested more of his money into than I did, so I felt it was only fair to leave it to him. A divorce is always sad, but I was really broken up about having to leave that house. I loved that house!
So I haven’t been able to afford to buy a house on my own until this year. I finally got an offer accepted on a townhouse and I close in 2 weeks! I am finally getting my American Dream back, and this time all by myself!!
