I’m 23 and my first boyfriend broke up with me a couple of days before Christmas. I lived with him for 4 years in Houston and I had nowhere to go so I called my mom and she said I could come live with her in California. The only problem is that her place is real small and the two rooms are occupied by her and my brother, so she gave me part of the “dining room”. I was also blessed to have a job the first day I got here. I don’t get paid until the end of the month though and for now I’m sleeping on an inflatable bed which would be ok if this place wasn’t so tiny.
When I was packing my stuff to leave my ex gave me this detector that he used one time and told me I could keep it. I have no use for it but if it can help me get a bed then I’ll take that chance. (The box looks worn because he left it in the car but it was only used once)
Work my tail off. Life is all about learning, and I now know what it’s like to leave a relationship with nothing. I don’t plan on letting that happen again. At the end of the day I need to be able to depend on myself 100%. Although this hurts, it is not the worse thing that’s ever happened to me and I know God will help me through it.
