Ugh. Well, my ex-husband ended our decade long marriage like a total coward. Long distance phone call. No explanation. He hurt me very badly. All I could think to do for the longest time was shop – fill the emptiness with what I thought my style was. But everything has changed, I have changed, and while these adorable flats used to be my style, every time I look at them now, all I see is how lost I was when I purchased them. I keep trying to wear them and it just makes my heart hurt. I’d like to see some other goddess rocking them now, instead of trying to refit myself into that old box.
Everything I make is going into the “go-get-your-smile-back,-girl” fund. I lost it in my marriage. I lost it during my divorce. Enough loss. Toward radiance, I say! And sustainability and girl-power to boot!
