We met over a mutual friend and the first time I got his phone number we ended up texting all night long. To this day he became overly attached assuming he knew everything about me and that I was perfect for him. In reality, the entire relationship involved him pouring his heart out and me just listening. He never gave me a chance to tell him who I was, he simply just assumed he knew. On my birthday he bought me a $400 bracelet. Considering my parents didn’t know about this relationship, I just thought of this as a generic gift, because if he really listened he should have known that this bracelet would have to be hidden and never used. Long story short, every time I wanted to break up with his and focus on school, he would throw in a sad story about him so then I’d feel guilty and take him back. Our entire relationship was filled with arguments but he was blind and only saw the good in it. This is one of the relationships which swears you off men for good.
