He fed me all the lines: “I’m ready to settle down.” “We’ll have a house like this soon.” “You’re going to be a great mom.” We never fought and had literally had a picture perfect relationship. He showered me with gifts, attention, and affection, and even flew us from LA to the Hamptons for July 4th! His friends told me the deal was sealed – he’d found the one! Until he woke up one day and said “I want to be single. I don’t think I want to marry you.” Had no other explanation for why! It was completely out of the blue. Never heard from him again!
