Everyone knows that the fashion industry has a major role in shaping people’s point of view and consciousness of the world around them, no matter how superficial this may sound. Of course, this has its both good and bad sides, but one thing is certain – your personal style is what matters most.

If you want to know whether the latest fashion trends will change it or not, just stay with us and keep on reading!

Can you really define your personal style?

Defining personal style can be a really challenging task, particularly for young girls who are still a bit confused when it comes to fashion. They often tend to conform to the current trends and follow them blindly, which most frequently results in an overall uniformity that makes all of them look absolutely the same. That’s exactly why the concept of personal style is extremely important – it gives individuals a sense of authenticity, as well as a chance to express themselves in the best possible way.

Of course, defining it can’t happen overnight – it can take years and years until you find what perfectly suits your needs, but trust us – it’s completely worth it!

Do current trends influence your personal style?

Keeping up with the latest fashion trends is inevitable these days, when the fashion industry has taken over everything. It seems that most prominent designers and fashion houses are all over the place – both online and offline, which is exactly why many people feel obligated to follow those trends and dress up according to them.

There’s nothing wrong with it if that’s your cup of tea, but the truth is that you don’t really have to do it at all if you’re not comfortable with that. If you can’t see yourself as one of those girls in an oversized denim jacket, tight dress, fishnet tights, thigh-high boots, a massive choker around your neck and tons of highlighter popping from the cheekbones – then don’t do that!

Instead, pick some fashionable details that will complement your overall combo, such as statement jewellery, a cool handbag, or a printed scarf, and rock your outfit like a true fashion blogger. Lovely floral playsuits are a major hit, and you know what? I wore these years ago, when no one else did, simply because they perfectly represented my personal style and made me feel extremely comfortable. And that’s what fashion should be all about!

Don’t be a fashion slave – wear whatever you like!

As already stated, you don’t have to follow fashion trends blindly in order to look and feel fabulous. Upgrading your personal style with some stylish pieces is more than enough for a simple yet very effective outfit.

Besides that, you should also pay a lot of attention to fit – your body shape should be a starting point when picking a perfect combo, since only the clothes that fit your body flawlessly can look stunning. Such pieces will also make you feel more than comfortable, because you’ll know that everything’s in its place.

However, playing around and experimenting with fashion trends is always a good idea when you’re going through a lot of bad stuff, such as a breakup. Playing with your style can help you a lot when bouncing back from some nasty experiences, so be sure to experiment as much as you can!

Even though fashion trends have a major role in any young girl’s life, it doesn’t mean that these will shape their personal style in a bad way. Once you’re sure about what looks good on your body and what doesn’t, you’ll be able to learn that fashion is all about playing and experimenting with all those trends that come and go. Just don’t take them too seriously and you’ll be fine!
