How do you start the day? The start of your day can make every day your best day. From the minute you roll out of bed in the morning, you are setting the tone for the morning.

Studies have shown that if you get up and out of bed within the first few minutes of opening your eyes, your day will be more productive. Let’s explore some amazing tips and energy boosters.


#1 Start at the beginning

 If you really wanted to give your day an extra bit of pep you need to start at the beginning of your sleep schedule. Getting enough quality sleep is the key ingredient to feeling refreshed in the morning. Aim for about 7 hours of decent Zzz’s.  Tip: going to bed before 10 pm is even more beneficial for you, as you get quality rest.


#2 Get up and go! 

The first rule of the Good Morning Club is, get up and go! Wake up and get the day rolling with that first burst of energy. Hitting the snooze button on your phone so you can fall asleep again will just leave you groggy and disoriented, slowing your morning down.


#3 Stretch the sleep away 

All you need is 10 full minutes of stretching to get your morning going. Add a quick Sun Salutation yoga sequence with bands to deepen your practice. A Sun Salutation is made to start the day and awaken your body spiritually and physically.


#4 Hydration 

If you have ever seen a prune, you will know that it once was a beautiful plump plum. Don’t forget for every cup of coffee you drink, you should be drinking a glass of water. Staying hydrated keeps your body soft, supple, and firing on all cylinders.


#5 Map out your morning routine 

Waking up at least an hour before you should leave the house gives you enough time to run through your morning routine. Once you have mapped out your routine, you will have enough time to get to your daily grind without a mad dash leaving you tired before your day begins!

As the name suggests, this is a bulletproof, foolproof way of starting the day on an excellent note. It might sound obscure at first, but the more you get into it, not only does this brain octane supercharge your day, the taste is excellent. It is especially good for people on the go that need a liquid breakfast to sip while on the subway.


#7 Energy starts from within 

Eating a healthy and nutritious breakfast is a sure-fire booster to your day if coffee is not your thing. Frest fruit, avocado on rye, or even some homemade granola are excellent breakfast food choices. Fruit gives you energy and is easily digested. No one wants to be sluggish by midday from a carb overload!


#8 Stay balanced

Less early morning stress can really boost your energy.


#9 Start tomorrow, today 

Map out your days ahead of time. Take a few minutes at the end of each workday to mark out specific tasks and things that need to be done the next day. It sounds simple; however, this is a great way to boost your productivity. Instead of stressing about the day ahead while you are in the shower first thing in the morning, you are mentally prepared for the day.


#10 An apple a day 

As the old saying goes “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” If you don’t like apples, a good vitamin or some other kind of fresh fruit or vegetable will give you the boost you need to keep you going.


#11 Get into the morning mood 

In this day and age, we all have some sort of smart device; changing your alarm tone to your favorite mood-boosting song is a great way to set the mood for your morning. Whether you like to rock it out or prefer a little more upbeat bass, your mornings will be better with a theme tune!


#12 Bedtime routine 

How you end your day will define the next. A good morning stretch routine can energize the body and help boost energy for the day. A quick 10-minute stretching session before bed can deepen your sleep and removes stress from the body. This will lead to a better quality of life.
