After a break-up, finding a friend to listen to you might be a good idea. However, we’ll be the first to admit that sometimes, you just don’t want to talk to anyone. This is not to say that you don’t want to talk at all, just that you really feel like getting everything off your chest without the risk of receiving unsolicited, potentially triggering advice in return. And then there’s having to look like a complete mess in front of someone else, and even in front of the closest of friends, this is extremely stressful for some people. That’s where Vent comes in handy- it’s a brand new app for you iPhone (and soon, Google Plus) that allows you to anonymously post blurbs about how you’re feeling- angry, frustrated, disgusted, loving, passionate, and any other emotion under the sun! All you have to do is make a profile (that you can edit/add information on to your liking, so you can choose whether you wish to remain anonymous or not) and post away! Keep in mind, some people may respond to your posts to offer support or their thoughts, but you can easily delete these comments (or report them if they’re offensive) if you wish to just shout into the empty abyss. If you do feel like talking to someone, however, you can rest assured that this person will most likely be a total stranger to you, so there shouldn’t be any embarrassment in your interaction. Plus, it’s a whole community of people that have been through it, too! Nobody’s one to judge…so just vent it out!
