What do you do and why do you do it?
I am Founder of Runway Passport www.runwaypassport.com which is a site where people can shop and discover emerging fashion designers by city. I do it because I want people to be able to experience that excitement you get when you are traveling and find a new piece of clothing that you never could get at home. It’s a really special feeling you have a new piece you love that every time you wear you feel connected to a place and a designer.
What’s the best gift you ever got?
A trip to Thailand from my parents where I came up with the idea for Runway Passport, my ambition which was a gift from multiple sources and my eye for fashion inherited from my Grandmother
What’s the worst gift you ever got?
Any gift from my childhood friend Jen…we always think it is really funny to give the other things we know they will hate it’s all a joke, but yes I have gotten my worst gifts from her.
What’s you advice for all things love, sex and dating?
Have as much fun as you want with whoever you want, but when it comes to who you choose to spend your life with, don’t settle for safe, comfortable, convenient etc it sounds cheesy but hold out for butterflies and your soulmate.
What’s your go to pick me up?
Walking on the beach, playing with my dog and cat, bar method, finding that perfect new outfit
Tell us about your first heartbreak…
Oh wow my first I must have been about 10 and had a huge crush on a camp counselor who must have been about 20. He just thought of me like a little kid and I found out he was dating another counselor his age. Looking back thats a good thing! But I was devastated at the time.
Tell us about a time you Bounced Back better than ever
I would say when I hit that post first job stage and I felt really lost about what I wanted to do with my life. I thought I knew exactly until I started actually doing it. I took two months
off and backpacked Thailand. it was there I discovered all these unknown fashion
designers which inspired the idea for Runway Passport.
