Tell us about your first love or heartbreak!
I was 15. My big time crush and best girlfriend started dating behind my back. Found out when I ran into them at the local pool hall. Teenage heartbreak! So high school.
What’s your go to pick me up?
There is nothing like a good episode of Sex and the City or a movie like Sliding Doors to give you some perspective. It makes me feel like I’m not the only one in the world with relationship problems.
Best gift you ever got?
From a man? Okay is this sad? I can’t think of anything particularly great. Alright, alright…a spa gift certificate? Luckily I used that and didn’t have to post on NLIA. I’ve got to stop dating scrubs haha!
Worst or weirdest gift you ever got?
Once a guy gave me a lanyard that had the history of the Chinese dynasties printed on it. I’m Korean.

Tell us about a time you Bounced Back better than ever!
One of the worst decisions I ever made led to the best ones. I moved to Orange County to move in with a boyfriend (who I knew I wanted to break up with before I uprooted myself from SF). Moved down, signed our lease, and immediately broke up within a month and it left me stranded and miserable in OC. I had to get out of there. So I thought of moving back to SF but then a friend convinced me to try NYC for a year or two which this June will have turned into 10 with no end in sight. So here’s the moral of the story. If I didn’t have an awful boyfriend transplant me to hell I wouldn’t have been motivated to improve my situation. I might have stayed put forever. My decision to move to NYC was one of the most pivotal and has made my life and my career. They say it takes both the sun and the rain to make a rainbow
