This week’s question comes to us from Miss Looking For Love. There’s more ways to date than ever before, but also so many ways to fail at it!! Here’s what Angelique has to say about all that.
Miss Looking-For-Love’s Question: As a 30 something and looking to settle down, where should I go to meet someone, more than just a random hookup?
Angelique’s Answer: This is a hard one! I am going to answer this personally on what’s worked for me and to be honest I feel things come your way when you are not looking for them! Whenever my friends and I are actively seeking someone, we never meet them, but it’s when you least expect it that you tend to meet someone. I would avoid clubs/bars, although I know people who have met in these places, they odds are not in your favor, especially if you are trying to avoid a random hookup. I have never tried it personally, but have heard some stories about online dating. Most of my friends have not had much luck, but the stories are note worthy and hey, at least you are putting yourself out there! I say in the mean time focus on you, in whatever aspect that may be. Whether it’s concentrating on fitness, changing your beauty routine or even taking a class! Do something that will interest you and approach it that way. Schedule time to meet with your friends more, get yourself out of your house/apartment. Make YOURSELF happy–everything else will fall into place. Most importantly have HOPE and keep a positive outlook! Enjoy your life. Good luck!
