Miss Future Face’s Question: What trends are you looking forward to in 2016?
Angelique’s Answer: One word- skin! I’m looking forward to bringing great skin back! No more heavy contouring or coverage, it seems as a big trend is taking it back to the natural “no makeup makeup look” and letting our skin shine and glow. The best start to this is a good skin care regimen. Also focusing more on highlighting or “strobing” areas of your face that you want to bring more attention to like bridge of nose, bow of lip, cheekbones, chin & forehead. I like to play with cream products or skin care that goes underneath makeup– like Strobe Cream from MAC. I also love using foundation that is build-able and can go from light to medium/heavy in coverage like Face and Body from MAC. As for highlighting I love a good liquid or cream product like Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector or Smashbox’s Halo Highlighting Wand. I love applying this products with my fingertips or Beauty Blender sponge to get that airbrushed look! Play with different products to see what works and remember the goal is to find that natural but NEVER boring look!!
