Being single on Valentine’s Day might be hard, but if there’s something that we learned from Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings is that you can as well have fun by buying a diamond ring for yourself and your 6 bit*es. Perhaps you don’t have that much cash, but you get the point – sometimes you have to do certain things for yourself, and is there any better and more symbolical way to do so then while single on Valentine’s Day? It’s time you embraced your singleness, and there are so many different things that you can do, without that special someone telling you where to go and what to eat. So, if you’re single AF this year on VD, don’t hate it, but rather immerse in something totally unique and interesting. Here are our tips:

Get rid of emotional junk

Each and every one of us has certain memorabilia on a previous relationship that didn’t succeed for different reasons. Quite an interesting V Day activity for all the single people out there is to go through your things, find all the things that your old significant others gave you and throw them away – or even better, sell them (yes, some money on the side is an excellent idea, especially if it’s made on the expense of the old relationships that brought you so much sorrow once upon a time). Of course, you get to keep the most important and most emotional items just for your eyes, but make sure to get rid of everything that’s not that important or make you walk down the memory lane. This is not the time for that – it’s time for a rebirth, and this is your moment.

Another activity that you can do by yourself is to find a certain destination, buy tickets, book the accommodation and actually see something new. You can opt for many different destinations – if you can take some time off, you can visit, for example Australia – this place is a land of new opportunities and you will definitely have so much fun sightseeing, going on different safari trails, seeing koala bears and kangaroos and enjoying in everything this spectacular country has to offer. If you have a couple of days only, you can always choose a town or city in a nearby state or country and spend there your Valentine’s Day. Who knows? Maybe you’ll meet someone new whose junk and present you won’t have to sell or throw away.

New food, new drinks

It’s always important to try out new things, and this Valentine’s Day could be the day for that. So, for example, if you chose to actually visit Australia or you happen to be living there, visiting one of its many wineries or breweries is an excellent idea, especially if this is an activity that you rarely opt for. You can always find some amazing new places online that are secluded and hidden, so visiting a good brewery or winery is quite an advisable option. Not only will you be experiencing something new and trying out something unique and authentic, but you will also have so much fun. You can bring your best friend or a family member in order to make this even more memorable.

Wear nothing but skin

Another great idea for spending your Valentine’s Day is spending the whole day in your home naked. All of us love the feeling of wearing no clothes, and choosing to do so for the whole day might be quite a relaxing option, and a healthy one for that matter. Order some take-out food, prepare the TV show to binge-watch, take off your clothes and voila. After all, Valentine’s Day is about love, and loving being naked totally matters as well.

Single and ready to mingle

Finally, you can also choose to put on the best clothes that you have and hit a bar somewhere in your vicinity. You’re single and ready to mingle, and you can do this on Valentine’s Day as well, especially because you’re not alone in this position. Perhaps you’ll find someone new who will turn out to be the most important person in your life one day, but if not – a one-night stand is a great way to tell “in your face” to Cupid.

Being single on Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be depressing and uninteresting. Make yourself a party, do the things that you love and look at this day like just another random day. After all, you’re free of those boring dinner parties where you’re sitting in front of the person you’re in a relationship with, talking. This year make it more interesting.
