I don’t think that age matters much in a relationship – there are many more important things such as shared values, interests and mutual respect. I was set up on a date with a younger guy and although I
didn’t have high hopes as he didn’t seem my type (on paper) we had the best date ever. I laughed through 4 hours and 3 cocktails and could not wait to see him again. We subsequently had a few more even more fun and wonderful dates. I never mentioned anything about ‘us’ and
definitely put no pressure on him…but he suddenly panicked, assuming that because I had just turned 30 I would want marriage, babies and happily ever after TOMORROW! He broke up with me abruptly and handled the situation very poorly whilst I (heartbroken) tried to be the bigger person and told him I understood. I can’t help thinking that one day he will realize that what we shared matters more than the
