Am I Overreacting?!?!?!?
So my birthday was yesterday 7/11 and unfortunatley my husband was out of town on business. He left the home Tuesday 7/10. Well, I had a wonderful day yesterday but waited and waited for my hubby to call. He finally called me at 9:30 in the evening. The catch is he had his friend on the phone and I talked to him for 15 min. Never met this person and really just wanted to hear from my hubby on my birthday. Once the phone is handed over I find out he is drunk as a skunk. Really f’n annoying! I could not hold my anger in and let loose advising him that it was disrespectful to not take a second to think of me the whole day until almost bedtime and then calls me drunk. I shared with him and all he could say was “WHATEVER” at least three times. I told him to go f himself and hung up. Then turned my phone on silent. I am wondering if I am the only person who feels that it was rude.

You'd think he could have gone out with you for a drink as a treat rather than with some random on your birthday.Did he even get you a gift?
If that was my bf let alone husband I would have done the exact same thing; how are things now?
AND...I'm assuming that on his birthday you make a fuss and try to make him feel special. The same should happen when its your day.
Ok. This is rude. It takes no effort to call, text, email. It's always the little things that count on birthdays. Definitely a poor effort.
